Staff Picks: Mrs Kennedy

An Inspiring Choice from this weeks Staff Picks Wall:

"Mrs Kennedy" by Barbara Leaming
Prime Television's recent mini-series about the The Kennedy family’s rise to political power in America during the early 1960s has sparked renewed interest in this fascinating period of world history. From the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Civil Rights movement, to the now infamous assassinations of both John and Robert Kennedy.

Our books about the Kennedy Family can be found primarily in the ‘Countries - Americas’ Zone at the Central Library and our branches.

You can read more about the Kennedy family by logging in to our databases using your library card. For example, I can access Gale Biography in Context from home. A quick search for John Fitzgerald Kennedy found journal and magazine articles, copies of primary documents like the Warren Commission report, and a radio documentary about the 50th anniversary of JFKs famous ‘Moon Speech’.
