Friday morning is the highlight of the week for many library users...it's New Book Day. What this means is that dozens of new books, DVDs, CDs and more come down from our processing area and go on display as the newest items to be added to the library collections.
It's always interesting to see which books receive the most reserves at the end of the week. There are some authors, John Grisham and Jodi Picoult for example, that we know will have a long waiting list so we buy multiple copies.
Every week list of all the new titles is added to our website - even for kids and youth. Their books don't go on display but we know some of you like to see a list of all the new stuff.

The last New Book Display for 2011 is this Friday 23rd and that will be up until 13 January 2012. I wonder what shiny new books and CDs Santa will deliver to the library? Perhaps we should write a list.
Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.
